At Château la Nerthe, for quite a long time, the culture of the vine has been practiced with the strictest respect for nature and the environment.

The soil of La Nerthe enjoys an exceptional qualitative potential due to its very low fertility: the fruit ripens better when the vine has difficulty completing its growth during the summer.

In addition, the only nitrogen comes from spring rains and the precipitation in summer. The only phytosanitary protection brought to the vines is through the use of simple substances such as copper and sulfur.
